Extend your Delhi conference into a Taj Mahal or Jaipur break. From Rs 20,000 pp with clean corporate vs personal billing.

In a Nutshell

Extend your Delhi conference into a Taj Mahal or Jaipur break. From Rs 20,000 pp with clean corporate vs personal billing.

Conference Plus Leisure: Golden Triangle Bleisure Extensions from Delhi

Experience My India runs 2 to 4 day leisure extensions that begin the moment your Delhi NCR conference ends, from Rs 20,000 per person (4 star, twin sharing) for a 2 day Taj Mahal weekend up to a 4 day Delhi, Agra and Jaipur loop. Built for delegates whose flight is already paid for: we collect you at your conference hotel, split the billing cleanly between corporate and personal invoices, and get you back in time for Monday. You are not unusual for wanting this. A GHA DISCOVERY report found 81 percent of Indian travellers extend business trips for leisure, against a 76 percent global average, and the Thomas Cook-SOTC India Business Travel Report says 68 percent of Indian corporates now formally permit trip extensions. India's Ministry of Tourism actively promotes exactly this pattern among MICE travellers. The awkward part was never the wanting — it was the logistics and the billing. That is the part we run for you.

Important — Read This

The single most common bleisure plan is 'conference wraps Friday afternoon, see the Taj Mahal on the way into the weekend.' It does not work. The Taj Mahal is closed to tourists on Fridays. The complex opens for Friday prayers only. Every itinerary below is built around this: conferences ending Thursday or Friday put the Taj at sunrise on Saturday, which is also the best light and the thinnest crowd of the week. No competitor page selling Delhi Agra Jaipur packages to conference delegates mentions this. It is the number one reason self-planned bleisure weekends go wrong.

Choose Your Extension

Track A: 2 day Taj Mahal weekend (conference ends Thursday or Friday) Day 1. We collect you and your luggage at the conference venue. Either the Gatimaan Express from Hazrat Nizamuddin (about 1 hour 40 minutes) or a private sedan down the Yamuna Expressway (3 to 4 hours depending on Delhi traffic). Afternoon at Agra Fort (entry Rs 650 foreign nationals, Rs 45 Indians), then sunset at Mehtab Bagh, the garden across the Yamuna with the head-on Taj view photographers use. Overnight Agra, 4 or 5 star per your tier. Day 2. Taj Mahal at sunrise (entry Rs 1,100 foreign nationals, Rs 50 Indians, plus Rs 200 for the main mausoleum). Breakfast back at the hotel, then a stop at Sheroes Hangout, the cafe run by acid-attack survivors under the Chhanv Foundation — pay what you want, profits fund surgeries and legal aid. Return to Delhi by evening train or car, airport drop included. Honest note for day 1: if your conference overruns, the itinerary flexes. Agra Fort moves to day 2 after the Taj and you lose Mehtab Bagh, not the Taj itself. Track B: 3 day Agra plus Jaipur (the standard bleisure weekend plus one leave day) Day 1. As Track A day 1: venue pickup, Agra, Fort, Mehtab Bagh sunset. Day 2. Taj at sunrise, then drive to Jaipur (about 240 km) via Fatehpur Sikri, Akbar's abandoned sandstone capital (entry Rs 610 foreign nationals, Rs 50 Indians), or via the Chand Baori stepwell at Abhaneri if you prefer fewer crowds. Evening arrival Jaipur. Day 3. Amber Fort in the morning (entry Rs 550 foreign nationals, Rs 100 Indians). We book the jeep ascent, not the elephant ride, on animal welfare grounds. City Palace, a Hawa Mahal photo stop, an hour in the Johari Bazaar if you want it. Evening Vande Bharat back to Delhi or a Jaipur airport drop for your onward flight. Track C: 4 day full loop with a spouse or family join-on Everything in Track B, paced over four days, with one addition that changes the trip: your spouse, partner or family fly into Delhi or Jaipur and join you the moment work ends. Day 3 adds an overnight option at Samode, a heritage village 42 km from Jaipur and directly on-route, and day 4 is an unhurried Jaipur morning before the return. The honesty that matters here: most corporate travel policies book single rooms and cover the employee only. Your companion's flights, their share of the room upgrade to double, and all their costs sit on the personal invoice. We price this transparently before you commit.

The Billing Split, Because This Is The Part That Actually Goes Wrong

Every bleisure article tells you the friction is approvals and expense reports. They are right, and here is how we remove it. You get two invoices, cleanly separated: Corporate invoice (company GST number): Conference-leg hotel, venue, transfers — Yes, if we ran your offsite. Extension hotels, car, guide, tickets — No. Companion or family costs — Never. GST input credit — Claimable on the business portion only. Personal invoice (you): Conference-leg hotel, venue, transfers — No. Extension hotels, car, guide, tickets — Yes. Companion or family costs — Yes. GST input credit — Not claimable. Hand your travel desk the corporate invoice and keep the personal one for yourself. Delegates who submit a clean business-versus-leisure split get approvals fast; delegates who submit one blended bill wait weeks. Typical corporate pre-approval runs 5 to 10 working days, so ask before you book, not after.

Our promise

Why Choose Experience My India For Your Extension

1
One coordinator across both legs. If our MICE team ran your Golden Triangle offsite, the same single point of contact runs your extension.
2
The two-invoice split as standard, not a favour you have to request. Described above, in writing, every booking.
3
Conference-venue pickup anywhere in NCR, including Aerocity, Gurugram and Noida, with your luggage handled.
4
Real monument math on the page. Entry fees, nationality pricing and the Friday closure are printed here.
5
Welfare and community choices stated plainly: jeep not elephant at Amber, and a stop at a survivor-run social enterprise cafe.
6
A published cancellation policy with real numbers — the 80/50/0 slabs.

Honest note

This Extension Is NOT For You If

  • Your company policy bans extensions and you will not seek approval. We will not paper over a policy problem.
  • You want the Taj on a Friday. It is closed. No operator can change that.
  • You need to be back in Delhi the same evening. Take our Taj Mahal day trip instead.
  • You expect the extension on the corporate invoice. Leisure days are yours to pay.
  • Your ideal recovery is 48 hours at the hotel pool. This is for people who want the flight they already took to earn them the Taj.

Preparation

Before You Go

🎒Packing List

  1. 1.Approval first. Ask your travel desk 5 to 10 working days ahead.
  2. 2.Extension costs are almost always personal; per diem rules on leisure days vary by employer.
  3. 3.Book 7 plus days out if you can. Our cancellation slabs are unkind to last-minute changes.
  4. 4.April to June is hot. We run Taj and Amber at opening time and keep afternoons in air conditioning.
  5. 5.Dress: shoulders and knees covered is safest at religious sites.
  6. 6.Connectivity: you will have signal the whole route; the car has charging.
  7. 7.Luggage: conference bags and banners travel in the vehicle with you at no charge.

Is the Taj Mahal open on Friday?

No. The Taj Mahal is closed to tourists every Friday; the mosque inside opens only for Friday prayers. Plan your extension so the Taj falls on any other day, ideally at Saturday sunrise if your conference ends Thursday or Friday.
