Golden Triangle Tour with Amritsar | Private
Honest: Amritsar is northwest of Delhi, a bookend not a loop stop, and its greatest sight, the Golden Temple, is free. Flown and given a night, done right. From Rs 96,000 pp.
In a Nutshell
“Experience My India runs a private Golden Triangle tour with Amritsar, covering Delhi, Agra, Jaipur and Amritsar over about 8 days, from Rs 96,000 per person (four-star, twin sharing). Amritsar sits northwest of Delhi, the opposite way from Agra and Jaipur, so it is flown or fast-trained as a bookend and given two nights, for the Golden Temple at night and at dawn, Jallianwala Bagh, and the Wagah border ceremony.”

Quick answer: Golden Triangle with Amritsar at a glance
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| Price from | Rs 96,000 per person (8-day, four-star tier, twin sharing) |
| Cities | Delhi, Amritsar, Agra, Jaipur |
| Duration | About 8 days, 7 nights, with two nights in Amritsar |
| The geography, told plainly | Amritsar is northwest of Delhi, opposite Agra and Jaipur. It is a Delhi bookend, not a loop stop |
| Getting there | Flown (about 1 hour) or the Vande Bharat and Shatabdi trains (about 5 to 6 hours) from Delhi |
| The free part | The Golden Temple is free, open to all faiths 24 hours, and its langar serves over 100,000 free meals a day |
| Why two nights | The Golden Temple at night and at dawn are the point, and a day-tripper sees neither |
| The hotels, honestly | Amritsar has good modern 5-stars, not palaces. The best is the Taj Swarna; the temple, not the hotel, is the experience |
| Wagah border | A charged, crowded sunset spectacle 30 km out, worth seeing if you arrive early and know what it is |
| Amber Fort | Jeep ascent, never the elephant, on welfare grounds |

How Amritsar is usually added, and the honest version
| How it is usually sold | The honest version | |
|---|---|---|
| The geography | Slotted in as if it flows from the triangle | Amritsar is northwest of Delhi, opposite Agra and Jaipur. It is a bookend you fly or fast-train from Delhi, not a loop stop |
| The time | A rushed day trip from Delhi | An overnight, ideally two, because the Golden Temple at night and at dawn are the point and a day-tripper sees neither |
| What costs what | "Luxury" implies you are buying the experience | The Golden Temple and its langar are free and humbling. Money buys the hotel and the transfers, not the temple |
| Wagah | Sold as a serene highlight | A theatrical, crowded, patriotic border ceremony, genuinely worth it, if you arrive early and know what you are watching |
What Amritsar actually gives you
What it does not buy, and cannot change
The one sight worth its own paragraph, and it is free
Day by day
Your route, day by day (about 8 days)
Airport pickup and hotel, with the first day light after a long-haul flight. The next day is a full guided tour of Old and New Delhi: Jama Masjid and a cycle-rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk, Raj Ghat, then Humayun's Tomb, the Qutub Minar, a drive past India Gate, and, fittingly for what is coming, the Bangla Sahib Gurdwara with its own langar. Red Fort is closed on Mondays, so the day is sequenced around it. Overnight Delhi, two nights.

Why choose Experience My India for Amritsar
Honest note
This trip is NOT for you if
- You want Amritsar to flow from Jaipur without a detour. It does not. It is northwest of Delhi, and adding it honestly means a there-and-back that we fly to keep short.
- You only have a day for it. A day trip misses the temple at night and at dawn, which are the whole point. If you cannot spare a night, skip it rather than rush it.
- You expect a palace hotel. Amritsar's best is a comfortable modern 5-star, not a palace. The temple, which is free, is the grandeur here.
- You want a calm, crowd-free Wagah. It is a big, loud, patriotic spectacle. That is what makes it worth seeing.
- You want the elephant ride at Amber. We do not offer it at any tier, on welfare grounds.
Preparation
Before you go
🎒Packing List
- 1.Carry a head covering for the Golden Temple, though free scarves are provided, and be ready to remove your shoes; both are required of everyone.
- 2.Do the temple at night and again at dawn; they are different experiences and both are worth the timing.
- 3.Eat in the langar at least once; sitting on the floor and being served is the point, not a novelty.
- 4.Leave early for Wagah, by mid-afternoon, to get a seat rather than the big screen.
- 5.Give Jallianwala Bagh real time; read the history, it changes how you see the rest.
- 6.Book the Taj for a non-Friday and go at sunrise.
- 7.Travel October to March; avoid the May to June heat, when Punjab exceeds 40 degrees.
- 8.Cancellation follows our house slabs: 80 percent refunded more than 30 days out, 50 percent at 7 to 30 days, none under 7 days. Flights and trains may carry stricter terms, disclosed in your quote.

Questions
Frequently asked questions
How much is a Golden Triangle tour with Amritsar?
From Rs 96,000 per person for about 8 days at the four-star tier, twin sharing, with a 20 percent margin and 5 percent GST already inside, and the Delhi to Amritsar transfer built in. The five-star equivalent is Rs 120,000 and sees the identical sights with the same guides, so the honest difference is only the hotel. There is no palace tier in Amritsar; the top option is a modern 5-star like the Taj Swarna.
