In a Nutshell

Extend the Golden Triangle to Goa: lively North or serene South beaches, Old Goa's Portuguese churches and a coastal finish.

Golden Triangle with Goa

Experience My India's Golden Triangle with Goa finishes the northern circuit on India's most famous coast: palm-fringed beaches, 450 years of Portuguese heritage, fresh seafood and a laid-back 'susegad' pace. Goa needs a flight from the north and adds about 3 days (making 9 to 10 total), private, from Rs 10,000 per person per day. The single most important choice is North or South Goa, and this page is honest about the difference (lively versus serene), so you get the Goa you actually want, plus the Old Goa churches and a proper beach wind-down after the monuments.

Why Add Goa

Goa is the easy, sunny finish to a busy North India trip. After the forts, crowds and desert heat, a few days on the coast — sea, sand, seafood and slow mornings — is exactly the wind-down most travellers want. It is also unlike the rest of India: a Portuguese colony for over four centuries, with Baroque churches, colourful colonial houses, a Catholic-and-Hindu blend, and a famously relaxed attitude. Whether you want beach clubs and nightlife or a quiet stretch of pristine sand, three days gives you a real taste and sends you home rested.

North or South? (The Choice That Matters Most)

This is the decision that shapes your Goa, so we make it clearly. North Goa, lively. The energetic, social side: beach shacks, clubs and nightlife, cafés and shopping, and busier beaches like Baga, Calangute, Candolim, Anjuna (with its famous flea market) and Vagator's red cliffs. Best for buzz, dining scenes and people-watching. South Goa, serene. The quiet, natural side: long, clean, uncrowded beaches like Palolem, Agonda, Colva and Cola, calmer resorts, and a slower rhythm. Best for peace, couples and unwinding. Many travellers with more time split it (a few nights north, a couple south); with three days we usually pick one side to match your style, and we will ask which you are before we plan. Tell us 'party' or 'peace' and we build accordingly.

What You'll See And Do

Your chosen beaches. North for the scene, south for the serenity, with time simply to swim, walk and relax. Old Goa. A half-day at the UNESCO cluster of 16th-century Portuguese churches — the Basilica of Bom Jesus (with the relics of St Francis Xavier) and the Se Cathedral — about 10 km east of Panjim. Panjim and Fontainhas. The Latin Quarter's narrow lanes and brightly painted Portuguese houses, lovely for a wander and a Goan meal. Forts and nature (optional). Fort Aguada over the Arabian Sea, a spice-plantation tour, or Dudhsagar Waterfalls (spectacular in and just after the monsoon). The food. Goan seafood, vindaloo, xacuti and fresh catch by the sea — a highlight in its own right.

Honest Advice

Two honest points. First, season matters a lot here. November to February is prime — dry, pleasant and the beaches at their best; March to May is hot but cheaper; and the June-to-September monsoon turns Goa lush and quiet but closes many beach shacks and limits swimming and water sports, so we steer you to the right window for what you want. Second, Goa is about beaches, heritage and unwinding, not monument-packed sightseeing. Old Goa and Panjim give it a rich cultural layer, but the heart of a Goa add is relaxation. If you want more culture than coast, Kerala or a Rajasthan extension may suit you better, and we will say so. Three days is a taste of Goa, not the whole state.

Our promise

Why Choose Experience My India

1
The North-or-South call, made clearly. We ask 'party or peace' and put you on the right coast.
2
Honest seasons. We book you into the November-to-February sweet spot or advise honestly otherwise.
3
Beach plus heritage, balanced. Old Goa and Panjim add real culture to the sand.
4
A restful finish, planned as one trip. The coast is sequenced as the wind-down after the north.
5
A published cancellation policy with real numbers — the 80/50/0 slabs — and a human on WhatsApp.

Honest note

This Trip Is NOT For You If

  • You want packed sightseeing. Goa is beaches and unwinding with a heritage layer.
  • You have no spare days or dislike flying. Goa needs a flight and about 3 days.
  • You are travelling in peak monsoon and expect full beach life. June to September limits beaches.
  • You pick the wrong coast for your mood. North is lively, South is serene.
