The energetic, social side: beach shacks, clubs and nightlife, cafés and shopping, and busier beaches like Baga, Calangute, Candolim, Anjuna (with its famous flea market) and Vagator's red cliffs. Best for buzz, dining scenes and people-watching. South Goa, serene. The quiet, natural side: long, clean, uncrowded beaches like Palolem, Agonda, Colva and Cola, calmer resorts, and a slower rhythm. Best for peace, couples and unwinding.
