First, bargaining: it is expected in the traditional bazaars, so start well below the asking price and negotiate politely (it should be friendly, not a fight), but it is not appropriate in fixed-price stores, government emporiums or upscale boutiques, and we will tell you which is which. Second, the emporium option: if you dislike haggling or want guaranteed authenticity, the government emporiums offer fixed, fair prices and genuine goods, a stress-free alternative we are happy to use. Third, and most important, commissions: many guides and drivers are quietly paid to take tourists to particular shops, which then inflate prices to cover the cut. We do not take commissions, so we have no reason to steer you anywhere but where you want to go, at real prices. That honesty is the whole point.

The touring is the classic circuit at the standard per-day rate, from Rs 10,000 per person per day (4-star) or Rs 15,000 (5-star), twin sharing, with 20 percent margin and 5 percent GST included on the tour. What you spend in the bazaars is entirely your own, and because we take no commission, there is no hidden markup on your purchases. Having a private car and driver makes multi-market days easy and lets you stash your shopping safely between stops. We build a precise quote for the touring and days. GST applies as per the invoice on the tour portion.
