Five-Star Golden Triangle Tour | Experience My India
Honest: 'five-star' on this circuit means two very different hotels, and one of them is just a good night's sleep. From Rs 75,000 pp.
In a Nutshell
“Experience My India runs the Delhi, Agra and Jaipur circuit at the five-star tier from Rs 75,000 per person (5-day, twin sharing): properly good hotels, a comfortable car, licensed guides and pre-booked monuments. Before you book anything, the one thing this industry relies on you not knowing: 'five-star' on this circuit describes two completely different products, and the gap between them is enormous.”

The two meanings of five-star
| Tier | What it really is | Indicative cost | The honest note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Reliable five-star (what this page sells) | Trident, Gateway, ITC and similar. Professional, comfortable, spotless, dependable | From Rs 15,000 per person per day | A very good night's sleep and a proper breakfast. The hotel is where you recover, not why you came. Nothing wrong with that: it is the right call for most people |
| Landmark hotels | Oberoi Amarvilas, Taj Rambagh Palace, SUJAN Rajmahal Palace, Oberoi Rajvilas | Roughly Rs 40,000 per person per day and up; Amarvilas rooms alone have been reported at Rs 62,000 a night | The hotel is the destination. Genuinely extraordinary, genuinely expensive. See our palace and heritage and ultra-luxury bespoke pages |

Why choose Experience My India for the five-star trip
Honest note
The five-star trip is NOT for you if
- You are picturing the Taj from your bath. That is Amarvilas, and it is a different tier. We will quote it honestly rather than let you assume.
- You think a better hotel means a better Taj. It does not. Same monument, same fee, same crowd, same Friday closure.
- You want palaces specifically. Take our palace and heritage page instead; a five-star chain is not a palace.
- The extra is straining the budget. The four-star trip sees exactly the same India. We would rather say so.
- You want the elephant ride at Amber. We do not offer it at any tier, on welfare grounds.
Preparation
Before you go
🎒Packing List
- 1.Ask for the hotel names in writing before paying, from any operator including us.
- 2.Consider one landmark night instead of upgrading everything; it buys more.
- 3.Book the Taj for a non-Friday and go at sunrise; that is the real luxury here, and it is free.
- 4.Tell us about dietary needs early; the five-star tier handles them well when warned.
- 5.Cancellation follows our house slabs: 80 percent refunded more than 30 days out, 50 percent at 7 to 30 days, none under 7 days. Landmark hotels may carry stricter terms, disclosed in your quote.

What does a five-star Golden Triangle tour cost?
From Rs 75,000 per person for a 5-day trip at the five-star tier, twin sharing, with a 20 percent margin and 5 percent GST already inside. The equivalent four-star trip is Rs 50,000 and sees identical monuments on the same roads with the same guides, so the honest difference is the hotel. Landmark properties such as the Oberoi Amarvilas or Rambagh Palace sit well above this tier and are quoted separately.
