A gentle, accessible Golden Triangle: slow pace, rest breaks, wheelchair and senior support, comfortable hotels. A restful leisure trip, not medical care.

In a Nutshell

A gentle, accessible Golden Triangle: slow pace, rest breaks, wheelchair and senior support.

Gentle Recovery & Restorative Journey

Experience My India's gentle Golden Triangle is designed for travellers who want, or need, to take it slowly: seniors, those with limited mobility or stamina, anyone recovering their energy, or simply anyone who prefers comfort over a packed schedule. It keeps the Taj, the forts and the palaces but removes the strain — short, unhurried days, plenty of rest, comfortable transport and hotels, monuments reached by vehicle where possible, and support at every step. It runs about 6 to 9 days, private, from Rs 10,000 per person per day. One thing we say clearly and up front: this is a comfortable, restful leisure trip, not a medical service, so if you have a health condition, please travel on your doctor's advice, and we will plan the gentle logistics around what they approve.

Important — Read This

We want to be completely clear, because it matters. This is a gentle, comfortable, accessible leisure holiday, planned with great care around your pace and comfort. It is not a medical service, medical supervision, or treatment of any kind, and it is not a substitute for medical care. If you are recovering from illness or surgery, or have any health condition, please travel only with your own doctor's approval, and share what they advise so we can plan the logistics, pacing, rest and accessibility around it. We handle the comfortable travel; your doctor handles your health. We strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance that covers medical emergencies. With that understood, here is how we make the Golden Triangle a genuinely restful, dignified pleasure.

How We Make It Gentle

Short, unhurried days. Fewer sights, later starts (with the exception of a cool sunrise Taj visit if you wish), and no dawn-to-dusk marathons. Rest built in. Regular breaks, comfort stops on drives (the expressways have clean facilities), and free afternoons or full rest days at the hotel whenever you like. Comfortable transport. A private, well-sprung air-conditioned car with an easy step-in, a careful driver, and modified or wheelchair-friendly vehicles on request. Monuments without the strain. Golf carts and battery vehicles at the Taj, a jeep up to Amber Fort instead of the climb, lifts and accessible galleries at the City Palace, and routes chosen for the least walking. Calm, comfortable hotels. Well-reviewed properties with lifts, adapted bathrooms where needed, quiet ambience and good dining, with dietary needs (vegetarian, mild-spice, gluten-free) easily met. Support and dignity. Trained, patient guides, airport meet-and-greet with wheelchair assistance, and a warm welcome for a caregiver or companion (one escort enters the Taj free with a traveller who needs assistance).

Honest Access

We would rather set true expectations than overpromise. India has made real progress on accessibility, and the good news is that the headline experiences are genuinely manageable: the Taj Mahal has free wheelchairs at the gates, ramps through the visitor area and battery buggies from the car park; Amber Fort can be reached by jeep; and several Agra and Jaipur hotels have proper adapted rooms. But some parts remain difficult: the innermost chamber of the Taj is reached by a few steps, upper levels of some forts are not step-free, and older lanes and bazaars can be uneven. We tell you honestly, site by site, what you will and will not be able to do, plan around the barriers, and find the best accessible viewpoints and photo spots, so there are no unpleasant surprises on the day.

4
Dignity and support. Patient guides, assistance at airports and sites, and a warm welcome for caregivers and companions.
5
A published cancellation policy with real numbers — the 80/50/0 slabs — and a human on WhatsApp, not a call centre.

Honest note

This Trip Is NOT For You If

  • You need medical or nursing care while travelling. This is a leisure trip, not a medical service.
  • You want a fast, packed itinerary. This is deliberately slow and restful.
  • You expect every site to be fully step-free. Some monument interiors and older areas are not.
  • You are travelling against medical advice. Please do not; your health comes first.
