Golden Triangle with a Ranthambore Tiger Safari | Private
Honest: every safari advert shows a tiger, but a sighting is never guaranteed. How to improve your odds, and a luxury lodge worth the stay. From Rs 96,000 pp.
In a Nutshell
“Experience My India runs a Golden Triangle with a luxury Ranthambore tiger safari, adding two nights and up to four game drives in the tiger reserve, from Rs 96,000 per person, with the luxury jungle lodges quoted separately. The honest truth the marketing hides: a tiger sighting is never guaranteed. We improve your odds with a 6-seat Gypsy, the right season and enough safaris, and make the forest, the fort and the lodge worth it even if the tiger stays hidden.”

What the marketing implies, versus the honest reality
| What the marketing implies | The honest reality | |
|---|---|---|
| The tiger | A guaranteed sighting | Never guaranteed; about 70 to 80 percent over four summer safaris, 50 to 60 percent in winter, and luck decides the rest |
| The zone | "We will take you to the tigers" | Ten zones, 1 to 5 are prime, but the official system allocates them randomly; several safaris usually gets you at least one core zone |
| How many safaris | One will do | One is close to a coin toss; three or four materially improves your chances |
| The vehicle | Unmentioned | A 6-seat Gypsy that goes deeper and quieter, not the 20-seat Canter |
| The lodge | A grand lodge means better sightings | The lodges here are world-class and worth it, but they do not change your tiger odds at all |

Our promise
Why choose Experience My India for a Ranthambore safari
Honest note
This trip is NOT for you if
- You expect a guaranteed tiger. No one can promise it; we improve the odds and are honest about the rest.
- You will only do one safari. One drive is close to a coin toss; if you cannot do three or four, temper your expectations.
- You want the luxury lodge to buy you sightings. It buys you a wonderful stay, not a tiger.
- You need comfort over odds but still expect the best sightings. Winter is comfortable but lower odds; you cannot have both at their maximum.
- You want the elephant ride at Amber, or any animal spectacle. We do not offer them, on welfare grounds.
Preparation
Before you go
🎒Packing List
- 1.Book early; Gypsy permits open sixty to ninety days ahead and sell out in season.
- 2.Do as many safaris as you can, ideally with mornings prioritised.
- 3.Choose your season honestly: heat and better odds, or comfort and lower odds.
- 4.Carry your passport; photo ID is mandatory for every safari permit.
- 5.Pack layers and neutral colours, dawn drives are cold even before a hot day, and bright colours are best avoided.
- 6.Hold the tiger loosely; go for the forest and the experience, and let the sighting be the bonus it is.
