Cycling Golden Triangle Tour | Experience My India
Honest: a cycling Golden Triangle is a different, longer route via rural Rajasthan, not the highway circuit. Support vehicle throughout. From Rs 80,000.
In a Nutshell
“Experience My India runs cycling trips across the Golden Triangle region, from Rs 80,000 per person (8-day, 4 star, twin sharing), riding roughly 30 to 60 km a day through rural Rajasthan with a support vehicle behind you the whole way. Start with the thing the phrase hides: a cycling Golden Triangle is not the driving circuit on a bike. Nobody sensible pedals the Delhi to Agra to Jaipur highways. The real cycling route detours through places most visitors never hear of, Bharatpur, Karauli, Talabgaon, Dausa, on backroads and village lanes, and it takes 8 to 14 days rather than 4 or 5. That is not a compromise. That is the entire point, and it is a better trip.”

Details
The two versions, and which is yours
| Version | What it is | Best for | The honest note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cultural riding (what we run) | 30 to 60 km a day, 4 to 5 hours, backroads and villages, heritage hotels, support vehicle throughout | Anyone reasonably fit who wants to be in the landscape, not beside it | Amateur to moderate. You do not need to be a cyclist. You do need to enjoy a few hours on a saddle |
| The endurance version | The full circuit on road bikes, around 950 km in 12 days, with 200 km-plus days such as Delhi to Agra in one go | Committed road cyclists chasing the distance | This is a sporting objective, not a holiday. If this is what you want, say so and we will scope it honestly or point you to a specialist |

Our promise
Why choose Experience My India for the cycling trip
Honest note
The cycling trip is NOT for you if
- You have 4 or 5 days. The cycling route needs 8 minimum. Take the driving circuit instead; we will say so rather than sell you a rushed version.
- You want to ride the classic Delhi to Agra to Jaipur line. Those are expressways. The good riding is the detour, and that is what we sell.
- You want to cycle through Delhi at midday. We do not offer it, on safety grounds.
- You want the 950 km endurance version as a holiday. That is a sporting objective; tell us and we will scope it honestly rather than quietly under-deliver.
- You want the elephant ride at Amber. We do not offer it, on welfare grounds. The jeep does the climb.
Preparation
Before you go
🎒Packing List
- 1.Tell us your honest riding level, not your aspirational one. The trip is built around it.
- 2.Bring padded shorts and your own saddle if you are particular; eight days makes both worth it.
- 3.Take travel insurance that actually covers cycling, which many standard policies exclude.
- 4.Pack layers for dawn. Late December and January mornings in Rajasthan are cold even when the afternoons are warm.
- 5.Drink only bottled or filtered water and wash your hands before eating; the support vehicle carries water for exactly this reason.
- 6.Cancellation follows our house slabs: 80 percent refunded more than 30 days out, 50 percent at 7 to 30 days, none under 7 days.

Questions
Frequently asked questions
Can you cycle the Golden Triangle?
Not the driving circuit, and no reputable operator does. The Delhi to Agra and Agra to Jaipur legs are expressway and trunk road, so cycling trips deliberately detour through rural Rajasthan via Bharatpur, Karauli, Talabgaon and Dausa on backroads and village lanes. It becomes an 8 to 14-day trip rather than 4 or 5, and the countryside is the reason to do it.
