A Golden Triangle built around a sunrise Jaipur hot-air balloon: a 60-minute flight (Sept to April only), plus the Taj, forts and Pink City.

In a Nutshell

A 60-minute sunrise balloon flight over Jaipur countryside, plus the Taj, forts and Pink City.

Hot-Air-Balloon-Focused Golden Triangle Tour

Experience My India's balloon-focused Golden Triangle is a 6 to 8 day private trip built around a sunrise hot-air balloon flight over the Jaipur countryside, roughly a 60-minute flight run by licensed operators, wrapped around the classic Taj, Agra Fort and Pink City. It runs from Rs 10,000 per person per day for the base circuit (4-star), with the balloon added on top. The flight operates only from about September to April, and this page is honest about the one thing most tour pages get wrong: what you will actually see from the basket. Built for travellers who want the icons plus one genuinely memorable morning in the sky.

Important — Read This

Most tour pages promise a balloon over Amber Fort. Here is the truth: the main Jaipur operator has not flown over Amber Fort for a while (air-traffic and military-base restrictions), so the flight now launches from the countryside about 45 to 50 minutes from the city and drifts over Aravalli fields, villages, lakes and the rural landscape, not directly over the forts. It is beautiful, serene and absolutely worth doing — a low, quiet dawn flight over rural Rajasthan with the hills on the horizon — but it is a countryside flight, not a fort flyover, and we would rather you book it knowing that than feel misled at 5 am. Winter mornings can also carry haze that softens the views. If a specific fort-top shot is your one must-have, we will tell you honestly that the balloon may not deliver it, and point you to the photography tour instead.

Our promise

Why Choose Experience My India

1
We plan a spare morning for the balloon. Weather grounds flights, so we schedule the flight with a backup morning in Jaipur, giving you a real second chance.
2
Honest about the countryside flight. We tell you up front it is a rural flight, not a fort flyover, so you book with the right expectation.
3
Licensed operators, weather-safe. We book established, internationally licensed pilots, and support the operator's cancel-before-risk stance.
4
The quote is the price. The balloon ticket is a clear separate line — international and Indian rates shown, no hidden markup.
5
A published cancellation policy with real numbers — the 80/50/0 slabs — with the balloon's weather-refund terms stated up front.
6
A real person on WhatsApp, not a call centre.

Honest note

This Trip Is NOT For You If

  • You are travelling May to August. The balloon does not fly in summer or the monsoon (September to April only).
  • You expect to float over Amber Fort. The flight is over the countryside, not the forts.
  • You cannot meet the flight restrictions. Minimum age 5 and height about 1.5 m — not suitable for pregnant travellers or those with serious mobility issues.
  • You need a guaranteed flight on a fixed date. Weather grounds balloons; we build a backup morning, but nobody can promise the sky on a given day.
  • A pre-dawn start is a dealbreaker. Pickup is around 4:30 am.

Preparation

Before You Go

🎒Packing List

  1. 1.Travel September to April for the balloon — the sweet spots are October to March when mornings are clear and cool.
  2. 2.Expect a pre-dawn pickup (around 4:30 to 5:00 am) and a mid-morning return.
  3. 3.Dress in layers — the dawn is cold in the basket and warms fast after sunrise — and wear closed shoes and no loose hats.
  4. 4.Bring a camera with a strap and your passport (operators require photo ID; some ask for it in advance).
  5. 5.Arrange travel insurance that covers ballooning.
  6. 6.December and January can bring morning fog that delays or cancels flights, which is exactly why we hold a backup morning.
  7. 7.The Taj is closed on Fridays — sequenced around.

Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

When can you do a hot-air balloon in Jaipur?

Roughly September to April only. Ballooning does not operate in the summer heat or the monsoon, and even in season it needs calm, clear mornings. If the balloon is your priority, travel in the cooler months and allow date flexibility — which is why our trip holds a spare morning.
