Mathura Vrindavan Golden Triangle | Experience My India
Honest: the curtain closes every minute at Banke Bihari, and that is the point. Leather is banned, midday is shut, Braj is on your road. From Rs 60,000.
In a Nutshell
“Experience My India adds Braj to the circuit properly, from Rs 60,000 per person (6-day, 4 star, twin sharing), with two nights in Krishna's country rather than a rushed afternoon. Begin with the geography, because it settles the whole question of whether this is a detour.”

Why choose Experience My India for Braj
Honest note
This trip is NOT for you if
- You want a long, still darshan. The curtain closes every minute or two and it always will. This is the wrong temple for that, and the right one for something else.
- You want an aarti spectacle. Banke Bihari has no fixed aarti, no bells and no conches, by tradition. Other temples do.
- You want Holi and darshan on the same trip. The festival days are the hardest days to see anything. Pick one honestly.
- You want to be walked past the widows' ashrams. We do not do it.
- You want the elephant ride at Amber. We do not offer it, on welfare grounds. The jeep does the climb.
Preparation
Before you go
🎒Packing List
- 1.Wear a cloth belt and carry a cloth wallet on temple days. Leather stops at the door.
- 2.Pack a dupatta or shawl. Shoulders and knees, everyone, and the stricter temples do not look strict from outside.
- 3.Wear shoes that come off standing up. You will do it repeatedly.
- 4.Do not plan a Braj day trip from Delhi. The maths does not work against the midday closure, and this is the single most common way people waste the drive.
- 5.Ask us about Govardhan and Barsana if you want Braj rather than its two most famous towns.
- 6.Cancellation follows our house slabs: 80 percent refunded more than 30 days out, 50 percent at 7 to 30 days, none under 7 days.

Questions
Frequently asked questions
Why does the curtain keep closing at Banke Bihari Temple?
Because it is meant to. Darshan at Banke Bihari is deliberately intermittent: the curtain is drawn every minute or two, since the tradition holds that Bihariji's gaze is so powerful and loving that continuous darshan would overwhelm the devotee. This interrupted jhanki darshan is unique to this temple and it is the experience rather than an obstacle to it. Visitors who expect a long, still view leave disappointed for no reason.
