Village Stay Golden Triangle | Experience My India
A night in rural Rajasthan on the circuit. Honest: it is a comfortable tented camp near a village, not a family's spare room. From Rs 50,000 pp.
In a Nutshell
“Experience My India breaks the Delhi, Agra and Jaipur circuit with a night in rural Rajasthan, from Rs 50,000 per person (5-day, 4 star, twin sharing): a fire after dinner, a sky with actual stars in it, a bike ride out to the village, and a morning that starts with birds instead of horns. Now the honest part, because the phrase 'village stay' does a lot of work in this industry: on this circuit it almost always means a comfortable tented camp near a village, not a night in a family's spare room. The tents have beds, electricity and en-suite bathrooms. There is often a pool. That is a good thing, and you should know it before you book rather than after.”

Why choose Experience My India for the village night
Honest note
The village night is NOT for you if
- You want to see how the poor live. That is not a holiday and we will not sell it. The village is a place, not an exhibit.
- You want a rustic mud-hut immersion. The camps that take visitors are comfortable, with beds and en-suite bathrooms. A genuine family homestay is a different booking; ask us.
- You want folk dancers laid on. We do not arrange performances for guests.
- You cannot skip the handouts. If giving sweets or money to village children is part of the appeal, this trip is not for you.
- You want the elephant ride at Amber. We do not offer it, on welfare grounds. The jeep does the climb.
Preparation
Before you go
🎒Packing List
- 1.Bring layers and something warm for the evening. The fire exists because the nights are cold from November to February.
- 2.Ask us the registration and fair-pay questions before you book. We would rather answer them than have you wonder.
- 3.Take a torch, because a properly dark sky means a properly dark path.
- 4.Bring mosquito repellent and expect insects; you are in a garden in the countryside.
- 5.Cancellation follows our house slabs: 80 percent refunded more than 30 days out, 50 percent at 7 to 30 days, none under 7 days. The camp may carry its own terms, disclosed in your quote.

Questions
Frequently asked questions
What is a village stay on the Golden Triangle actually like?
On this circuit it usually means a comfortable tented camp near a village rather than a night in a family home. The tents have beds, electricity and en-suite bathrooms, there is often a pool and a proper dinner, and a fire is lit outside afterwards. The village itself is a short bike ride or walk away, and you go out to meet people rather than watching them from the camp.
