Responsible Golden Triangle tours: eco-conscious travel, village homestays and real give-back, with honesty about greenwashing and where your money goes.
In a Nutshell
“Experience My India builds lower-impact, community-first Golden Triangle trips for travellers who want their visit to do a little good and go a little deeper, without pretending a tourist trip is a charity. Three honest routes, most running 6 to 9 days, private, quoted per group. Here is what is real, and what we will not do.”

How to choose your responsible route (the honest table)
| Route | Best for | What it actually does | The honest note |
|---|---|---|---|
| Eco-Conscious | A lighter footprint | Lower-impact stays, an EV where practical, less plastic, ethical activities | We do not sell offsets or 'eco' badges we cannot back; an EV is not available on every route |
| Village-Homestay Immersion | Real rural life, direct income | Nights with host families, farm and craft life, community time | Comfort is simple and authentic; it is respect, not pity, and always with consent |
| Social-Impact / Give-Back | Backing real causes | The Sheroes cafe, fair artisan cooperatives, community-led walks | A trip is not charity; we show you exactly where the money goes |

Why choose Experience My India for a responsible trip
Honest note
This is NOT for you if
- You want a green badge without the substance. We will not sell offsets or 'eco' labels we cannot stand behind; if it is the sticker you are after, this is not it.
- You want to 'help' by visiting an orphanage or volunteering with children. We do not offer this, on principle, because it can harm vulnerable children.
- You expect chain-hotel polish throughout. Homestays and village stays are authentic and simple, not five-star; for luxury, see our Luxury tours.
- You want to photograph poverty. Rural visits here are built on dignity and consent, not spectacle.
Preparation
When to go, and travelling well
🎒Packing List
- 1.October to March is the most comfortable season for the circuit and for village stays alike.
- 2.Carry a reusable water bottle (a good filter bottle replaces dozens of plastic ones).
- 3.Dress modestly at sacred sites and remove your shoes.
- 4.Always ask before photographing people.
- 5.Buy directly from makers rather than middlemen.
- 6.Be open to conversation, rural India is proud and welcoming, and honest curiosity is repaid many times over. Small choices, made consistently, are what 'responsible' actually means.

Questions
Frequently asked questions
What does 'responsible' really mean on these trips?
Three honest things: a lighter footprint where we can genuinely achieve one (lower-impact stays, an EV where practical, less plastic), far more of your money reaching local hands (homestays, local guides, artisan-direct workshops, community cafes), and candour about the limits. It is not a carbon-neutral badge or a charity, it is real, traceable choices that do some good and make a richer trip.
