The two are joined by several crossings, the DND Flyway, the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway and the Delhi Metro, which is why the journey is usually quick outside peak hours. Noida is also the start of the Yamuna Expressway, the fast road down to Agra.

How far is Delhi to Noida by road?

Delhi to Noida is about 25 to 27 km by road and takes roughly 48 minutes to an hour. The three practical routes are below.

The Noida-Greater Noida Expressway is the fastest and the DND Flyway is a key crossing into the city. Both are smooth when the traffic is light.

How far is Noida to Delhi?

Noida to Delhi is about 28 to 29 km and the return can take a little longer with inbound Delhi traffic.

The DND Flyway is the classic route into Delhi and timing your trip outside office hours makes the biggest difference to how long it takes.

How do you go from Delhi to Noida by metro?

The Delhi Metro is often the easiest way between the two cities, skipping the road traffic entirely. The Blue Line connects Delhi directly to Noida and runs deep into the city.

• Blue Line: runs from Dwarka in Delhi through central stations to Noida, ending at Noida Electronic City, with stops at Noida City Centre and the sector stations.

• Magenta Line: reaches Botanical Garden in Noida, a major interchange with the Blue Line.

• Aqua Line: the separate Noida-Greater Noida metro extends further into Greater Noida, interchanging near Sector 51.

• Best for: avoiding peak-hour road jams, since the metro time is far more predictable.

For most central Delhi to Noida trips, the Blue Line is quicker and calmer than driving during office hours.

How else can you travel between Delhi and Noida?

Beyond the metro and self-driving, there are easy options:

• Buses: DTC and UP buses run between the two and the metro is often the faster public option.

• Autos and shared autos: handy for shorter hops near the crossings and metro stations.

Which route is best and is the DND Flyway toll-free?

The best route depends on your start and end points, but two things help. First, the DND Flyway is toll-free, so it is a cost-free crossing into and out of Delhi. Second, the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway is the fastest way deep into Noida.

• Toll-free crossing: the DND Flyway carries no toll.

• Avoid peak hours: the morning and evening office rush slows every route.

• Use the metro at rush hour: it is the most reliable option when the roads are jammed.

The best time to travel is outside the office rush, so mid-morning after about 11 AM or early afternoon are ideal, when the crossings are clearest. The morning peak from around 8 to 10 AM and the evening peak from around 5 to 8 PM are the slowest.

Weekends are generally easier on the roads, though the malls get busy in the evenings. Whatever the day, the metro stays the most predictable option.
