• By flight: the quickest option today is to fly, with frequent flights from Delhi to Varanasi taking around one hour twenty minutes in the air, plus airport time at both ends.

• By road: driving is a long haul of roughly 800 km and twelve to fourteen hours, usually broken with an overnight stop and better suited to those wanting to see places like Agra, Lucknow or Prayagraj along the way.
